System Architecture (SA) has overall technical responsibility for Symbian OS. Working closely with Product Management and the CTO as well as other parts of Software Engineering (¡°SWE¡±), it owns and operates technology management processes, ensures the design of the product optimally satisfies customer needs and owns and drives engineering the mix of product performance characteristics into Symbian OS that delivers maximum customer benefit. |

Test Product Team develops test suites
to verify all Symbian published APIs.
The test environment team is responsible for the operation,support and rollout of tools to improve the test environment,providing a standardised test environment for all teams within Symbian that enables efficient test management which supports Symbian's test process. |

The F1 Help team is a new small (5 people) team in PTD.It is a global team based in London,Bangalore and Beijing.The team is the fire line support for the tools the Symbian developers use to develop the Symbian OS.Many of the tools are developed internally by PTD and the team will work with the developers to locate issues and test they have been resolved. The team will also work with external software suppliers to locate issues and request their resolution. |
