System Architecture (SA) has overall technical responsibility for Symbian OS. Working closely with Product Management and the CTO as well as other parts of Software Engineering (¡°SWE¡±), it owns and operates technology management processes, ensures the design of the product optimally satisfies customer needs and owns and drives engineering the mix of product performance characteristics into Symbian OS that delivers maximum customer benefit. |

Text & Internationalization Team
| The Text & Internationalization team is responsible for Internationalization (Unicode, script and text? support etc.), Base Services and Database technology streams in Symbian OS. |

OS Product Marketing Team
| The Remote Management module consists of implementations of the OMA protocols Client Provisioning,Data Sync, Device Management and FUMO. |

Test Product Development
+Test Environment
Test Product Team develops test suites
to verify all Symbian published APIs.
The test environment team is responsible for the operation,support and rollout of tools to improve the test environment,providing a standardised test environment for all teams within Symbian that enables efficient test management which supports Symbian's test process. |

The Product Creation Tools Team is
responsible for the development of
tools used to build,integrate , customize,
analyze and distribute the Symbian OS.

Development Tools Team
| The Development Tools Team is responsible for the Symbian OS development environment used by evelopers in Symbian as well as third party developers and handset manufacturers. |

Build & Integration Team
| The Build & Integration team is responsible for the build and integration of Symbian OS supporting development teams and handset manufacturers. |
System Test Development Team
| The System Test Team design and develop automated system test software for the over all Symbian OS product. |

IS China team is a part of Symbian IS global operation. The team currently focus on IS service delivery to Symbian China users and will be probably stretched, with a decided team expansion plan, to a Symbian global 24x7 service desk in future |

The F1 Help team is a new small (5 people) team in PTD.It is a global team based in London,Bangalore and Beijing.The team is the fire line support for the tools the Symbian developers use to develop the Symbian OS.Many of the tools are developed internally by PTD and the team will work with the developers to locate issues and test they have been resolved. The team will also work with external software suppliers to locate issues and request their resolution. |
