Senior Build and Integration Engineer

About the Team ：
The System Integration team is part of the Product Delivery department and is responsible for engineering the Build and Integration of functionality into Symbian's product, both for internal use and for delivery to Symbian's customers.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of how Symbian integrates functionality across our global sites and contribute to the realisation of our Global Integration Strategy.

Key Job Responsibilities ：
You will be involved in many aspects of how Symbian OS is integrated, built and delivered, including:
* Analysing System Build issues, raising defects and, working with development teams, ensuring their prompt resolution.
* Execution, delivery and storage of builds for all the OS releases
* Development of the Symbian Build System and related tools.
* Identifying improvements to methods and processes and driving their implementation.
* Working with Integration Engineers to resolve
System Build issues and develop new methods of building and integrating codelines.
* Providing technical consultancy to development teams on build related matters
* Building good direct working relationships with development and test engineers across the company

Essential ：
Qualifications
Bachelors/ Masters Degree in an Engineering related discipline.

Experience ：
* 5+ years of commercial experience
* Development and integration of embedded software and operating systems
* Build systems (e.g. ANT, make etc.)
* To have worked as a software engineer and be familiar with design and development using OO and C++
* Complete software development lifecycle and appropriate methodologies, processes and techniques
* Effective use of Software Configuration Management of a large complex software system

Skills ：
* Scripting languages such as Perl, Python or Shell
* Good spoken and written English
* Programming skills: design, development, test and debug using languages such as C++, Java, Perl and appropriate development tools
* Good communication skills to a variety of audience types and forums (engineers, engineering managers, customers, senior management)
