About the Team ：
The Test Product team in China is a newly established group which is planned to be a significant contributor to the future success of the Test Product. The team will be based in Beijing with strong interfaces into the UK.
The Test Product technology stream covers all aspects of productisation of testing within Symbian and is responsible for delivering into the Symbian Verification Suite (SVS) within the System Integration Tool Kit (SITK) product.
The Test Product Technology Architect has the technical authority and responsibility for the ongoing quality, performance and functional correctness for the Test Product developed in China, influencing the development to deliver appropriate test suites to meet the market needs in a timely manner. The outcome of this role is to enable licensees to develop and test their products in a more efficient and productive fashion and ultimately reducing the time to market of their products.

Key Job Responsibilities ：
* Creating and delivering solutions:
* Requires in depth knowledge of Symbian OS APIs in Core OS, Middleware and Application layers
* Investigate APIs and HAIs over whole of Symbian OS for Test Product coverage
* Devise test strategies for new technologies and test suites
* Devise a strategy to deliver test suites in to multiple products; SITK, Custkit, TVK
* Review and mentor development teams in the development of high quality Test Product suites
* Provide consultation to development teams in Test Product development techniques, processes, requirements
* Participate in SDA reviews of design sketches of Test Product solutions
* Act as an authority in Testing best practice
* Act as an authority in delivering effective testing solutions to licensees
* Support System Test teams in creating and delivering test strategies for testing Symbian OS and Developer products

Customer Focus:
* Build relationships with key customer test teams (S60, UIQ, SEMC, Semico, MOAP) influencing senior managerial and senior technical decision makers
* Understand customer requirements to influence SITK roadmap and internal development decisions
* Understand customer development process and identify opportunities for the Test Product to benefit and assist with their product development
* Keep abreast of latest OS development and future technology roadmaps to enable the Test Product to come to market with timely solutions

Team work, Networking & Collaboration:
* Build relationships with all SWE development teams UK, India, China, Vancouver (Dev TAs and Test TAs and CTAs)
* Work to deliver shared solutions between Test Product and development teams
* Work with PTD TAs to define the future of tools products, processes and delivery strategies

SITK, Developer Products:
* Work closely with UK Test Product Technology Architect to define the roadmap for SVS and SITK tools content
* Assist in defining PREQs for Test Product
* Influence tools teams to create end to end testing environments that suit the needs of all Test Product customers and users

Essential ：
Qualifications
* Bachelor / Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Telecom related discipline.

Experience ：
* Experience of software development in an Engineering or Telecom related industry
* Experience of working with mature development processes with experience of all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
* Experience of validation and verification within an embedded environment at a senior level
* Object-orientated design techniques
* C++/Java development skills
* Experience of Symbian OS Development
* A background of delivering products to market

Skills ：
* Full understanding of test methodologies and processes
* ISEB Foundation or Practitioner Level certified in Testing

Disposition ：
* Able to work with a wide range of people from developers to senior management staff and including direct customer interaction
